# One-Click Upsells vs Thank You Page Upsells: What’s the Difference?

Both **One-Click Upsells** and **Thank You Page Upsells** help you generate extra revenue after checkout, but they operate under different technical rules and customer flows within Shopify.

### ⚙️ How Each Upsell Type Works

###### One-Click Upsells
* Displays immediately after checkout, before the customer reaches the Thank You page.
* Customer payment details are already saved, allowing them to accept the offer in just one click without re-entering payment info.
* The item is automatically combined with the original order, avoiding additional shipping fees or separate fulfillment steps.

###### Thank You Page Upsells
* Appears on the final Thank You page.
* Because the checkout process is fully completed, payment details are not saved at this stage. Customers must re-enter their payment information to complete the additional purchase.

### 💡 Can a Customer See Both Offers?

Yes, if your setup includes both a One-Click offer and a Thank You Page offer, a customer using a supported payment method (such as Credit Card or Shop Pay) will see both: the One-Click offer first, followed by the Thank You Page offer.
* **Supported Payment Methods:** First, customers see the One-Click offer, then they proceed to the Thank You page where they can see the offer that you have configured.
* **Unsupported Payment Methods:** For payment methods where Shopify bypasses the post-purchase step (such as certain express wallets or manual payments), Shopify automatically skips the One-Click page and directs the customer straight to the Thank You Page offer.

**Tip:** If you want to avoid showing two consecutive offers to customers using supported payment gateways, simply set up your funnel with only a One-Click offer or only a Thank You Page widget.
