How to Assign Your Box Builder to a Custom Template

By default, your Box Builder page uses your Shopify theme's Default page template. If you want to add specific Shopify sections (like a FAQ, customer reviews, or unique banners etc...) to your Box Builder page without affecting your other pages sharing that same template, you need to create and assign a custom template.

Here is how to do it in 3 quick steps:

🎨 Step 1: Create a New Template in Your Shopify Theme:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Click Edit theme next to your active theme to open the Theme Editor.
  3. At the top of the screen, click the page dropdown menu and select Pages > Create template.
  4. Name your template (e.g., box-builder) and ensure it's based on the Default page.
  5. Click Create template, then click Save in the top right corner.

📌 Step 2: Assign the Template to Your Box Builder Page

  • Go back to your Shopify admin dashboard.
  • Navigate to Online Store > Pages.
  • Click on the page automatically created by Rapi Bundle (e.g., your Mix & Match page).
  • On the right side of the screen, locate the Theme template section.
  • Change the dropdown selection from Default page to your newly created template (e.g., box-builder).
  • Click Save.

🚀 Step 3: Customize Your Page Independently

Now that your Box Builder has its own dedicated template, you can go back to Online Store > Themes > Customize, open your newly created template e.g.: box-builder template, and add any Shopify sections you want. Your changes will only appear on this specific page!

‼️ Tip: If the Rapi Box Builder interface does not display automatically on your custom template, you can manually add it back. In the left sidebar of the Theme Editor, click on Add block or Add section > Go to the Apps tab > Select Box Builder Page (Rapi), then save your changes.
